About us

We are an emotional health and wellbeing service delivered by Action for Children

Life is full of ups and downs. Sometimes it’s a struggle to deal with.

The help we offer is based on listening to children, young people and their families or carers. Together, we talk about what the problem might be. This way, we can explore new solutions and make positive changes.

We want to make sure all young people can find out what we offer. Download information in symbol format.

We are not a crisis service. See who to call if you need urgent help.

Who is the service for?

We are here for children and young people who:

  • Live in Staffordshire

  • Are aged 5 to 18 years

  • OR are aged up to 25 years, if they are in care or have an Education and Health Care Plan (EHCP)

  • Experience emotional health difficulties

  • Need support to improve their wellbeing

What help do we offer?

We offer a range of support based on what the child or young person needs.

  • Direct support (one-to-one therapy, group support sessions)

  • Digital support (online therapy, information and advice)

  • Intensive support (targeted support, support for foster carers/parents)

  • Prevention and early intervention (community events, specialist training)

Who are we?

Our team is highly trained in supporting children and young people with their mental health and emotional wellbeing.

Our specialist staff follow robust clinical management. They offer evidence-based interventions to support young people’s mental health. This could be through direct, preventative or digital solutions.

The service is delivered by Action for Children. It is commissioned by Staffordshire County Council and Clinical Commissioning Groups to support children and young people in Staffordshire with their mental health.

Our partners are Black Country Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and SilverCloud Health.
